We are not an agency, but a portal for photographers who host their image databases with ProMediaserve.com. Having said that it is not automatic that a photographer with a ProMedaiserve.com account will be represented in the portal. One Stop Images must have strict quality controls to the material presented in order for the portal to work. Searches cannot return pages of bad quality, badly framed images otherwise image buyers will leave the website never to return. Only proven Promediaserve.com accounts with priced, model release and publicly accessable stock images are considered for the portal. We don't edit the photographers work or make comments on pricing or how the images are licensed, but we will review quality and content. ProMedaiserve.com is a hosted image library software and service starting at $50 a month accounts for 5GB storage allowance which can include hosting all home pages and websites for the photographer. As well as offering photographers the chance to show and sell their images on line simply, it also allows provides off site back up, digital delivery to established clients and marketing tools to go promote their work. ProMedaiserve.com also has event photographers, journalists, PR companies, marketing departments using the services which cannot be represented in the portal. To be considered for One Stop Images, take out a no risk trial account at Promediaserve.com for 15 days and upload some of your best stock. You will need to associate keywords and prices to your images. We automatically monitor new accounts and if appropriate you will be given an invitation to the portal where you agree to the terms and conditions and in the flick of a switch your images will appear in images searches at One Stop Images. Even if your images are not suitable for stock sales through One StopImages yu will be very happy witht he services and features offered for your photography work. ProMediaserve was started in 2001 by Tim Barnett, an English stock and specialist sports photgrapher, as a means to deliver digital images online for shoots and stock sales. Gradually other photographers came on board using the software, with a decision to launch a portal in 2005. Tim is still the driving force behind these projects, despite a heavy shootinschedule for catalogues and advertising. He is based wherever he can get online. The servers are in the USA. |
How it works...Once a Promediaserve account is established and the photographer's work is accepted for One Stop Images, the images will appear in searches in a random order. There is no preference to which photographer is shown first or last. The more images in thier account the more they will have shown in One Stop Images. If a photographer's image is chosen then the portal converts their price and currency to US$ based on the days exchange rate and the art buyer can pay by credit card to download the image immediately. The photographer is informed by email of the sale and One Stop Images will owe the photographer 100% of the sale to be paid 30 days after the sale, in case of image quality problems and refund demands, less a 4% credit card fee and a fixed handling charge for the portal overhead of $10 USD per image downloaded. When the credit card payment is accepted the image buyer gets an email to download the image or images. If it is not a download order, for example a fine art print sale, the photographer is sent the shipping info and must fulfill the order as quickly as possible. We have decided at One Stop Images not to alienate potential purchases from the press by showing a stock price and have a special login for press buyers working to a rate card. We undersatnd also the press often download images they never use. We do not present prices to press buyers, but require a manual OK from One Stop Images for the download. Photographers in the portal will then be informed that the press have downloaded their images and they will be paid on a rate card basis as and when the publication uses the image. One Stop Images reserves the right to remove any photographer from the portal at their descretion. |
