One Stop Images came about as an obvious and requested extension of http://promediaserve.com (hosted image management solutions). Having such high quality work from photographers on the ProMediaserve.com centralized servers it was an obvious step to help the photographers market their work outside of their own clients by giving a cross account search engine. We appreciate that image buyers have been driven to using the speed and efficiency of the big photo agencies and certainly don't have time to call up or even visit several photgraphers web sites, hence the need for photographers to get their images online and get found with the same speed and efficiency. One Stop Images provides photgraphers with that possibility to get more direct clients. Because photographers are already paying for the ProMedaiserve.com accounts there is no need to take a percentage or interfere with how each individual photographer does business. One Stop Images is like a marekt place or shopping mall for photographers within, they pay the rent to be in the mall and sell what they want at their prices. We try to promote as best as we can the mall. Many of the photographers shown here also supply regularly to the established stock agencies, but those agencies only take so much of their work and often decide which images to market. ProMediaserve was started in 2001 by Tim Barnett, an English stock and specialist sports photgrapher, as a means to deliver digital images online for shoots and stock sales. Gradually other photographers came on board using the software, with a decision to launch a portal in 2005. Tim is still the driving force behind these projects, despite a heavy shootinschedule for catalogues and advertising. He is based wherever he can get online. The servers are in the USA. |

Difficult for a photographer to compete!
